Testimonial from Tommy Kono

Tracy,
First of all I am flattered in having my name mentioned at the very beginning of the DVD.

I viewed both DVDs and found them to be ideal for studying the lifting technique employed by the various lifters.  The front and side views merged together on the screen and being able to make it slow motion, and even by sequence pictures, makes your work a great  analyzing and teaching tool for coaches.

The tracing of the end of the bar in the profile view tells a story in itself.  The path of the bar and the lifter's body movement explains the success and failure of the attempt.

Having captured all the attempts of the top three lifters in each class makes the DVD worth its weight in gold.  The bonus lifts at the very end of the DVD adds a nice extra touch to your presentation.

I heartily endorse your DVD production to all coaches and lifters.  They can gain much from repeatedly reviewing it.

for Athletes and Coaches

Named after and inspired by US Olympic and World Champion Tommy Kono!

This two DVD set, over 260 individual lifts, contains footage from the 2008 Nationals and the 2007 World Team Qualifier (bonus clips).  Each DVD is compatible with most stand-alone DVD players and any computer drive, and features the top 3 overall medallists from each class at the 2008 Nationals in Columbus, OH.  Iron Maven brings you the largest collection of weightlifting video captured and analyzed with Dartfish video analysis software available to the public.

Within each DVD, you can search through each weight class for a specific lifter.  Watch each lift with two views and at half-speed; see the subtleties in technique that contribute to a successful or unsuccessful lift.  Many lifts also have bar trajectories and/or the full-speed video clip to help the viewer appreciate the power, speed and technique required of this sport.  The bonus clips feature Casey Burgener’s 180 kg Snatch, Chad Vaughn’s 190 kg American Record Clean & Jerk, Kendrick Farris’ 199 kg American Record Clean & Jerk, and Natalie Woolfolk’s 215 kg American Record total from the 2007 World Team Qualifier, and more.
